De Gea To Sign New £375,000-a-week Deal At United

Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea, will sign a new deal worth £375,000-a-week at the club, after the pre-season tour of Australia, a report has said.

According to Dailymail, United have finally made a breakthrough in their negotiations with De Gea’s representatives, and the Spain goalkeeper is expected to sign the new long-term deal when United return to England.

Also, United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while revealing that the Spanish international will play in the second game of the tour against Leeds, gave a hint that an announcement is close on his new contract.

“Hopefully we can agree with David as I’ve said a few times,” he said.

“That will be up to David to announce when that happens, if and when.”

Solskjaer also confirmed that Romelu Lukaku is fit to face Leeds, after missing United’s 2-0 opening match win over Perth Glory, with a small injury.

But he refused to be drawn on the Belgium striker’s future, despite ongoing speculation linking him to Inter Milan.

“The day we start the league I’m sure everyone who’s here will give absolutely everything for Man United.

“We want a strong team with players who give everything. There are always rumours and speculation about Man United players but when the league starts we batten down the hatches and stay as a team,” he added.
