President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed former Lagos and Borno military administrator, Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (retd) as Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

The appointment of Marwa who served as Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Drug Abuse, PACEDA, was confirmed by the Presidency.

This comes after denials of the sack of former Chairman, retired Col. Muhammad Abdallah.
Clearing the air, NDLEA spokesman, Jonah Achema said the tenure of Abdallah whose appointment began on Jan. 12, 2016 expired on Jan.11.
