Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, has donated food packs to his constituents of Surulere 1 Federal Constituency in Lagos State ahead of the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
This is the second time in two months that Gbajabiamila has made such donation to his constituents, comprising residents of Akerele, Shitta, Bode Thomas, Adeniran Ogunsanya, Eric Moore, Games Village/Akinsemonyi, Iponri Estate, Alaka, Onilegororo, Barracks, Ojuelegba, Masha and Ogunlana axis of Surulere.
The contents of the food pack, as seen by one of our correspondents on Wednesday, include five plastics of rice, two sachets of tomato paste, a sachet of spaghetti and a sachet of sugar.
Gbajabiamila had distributed similar food packs as palliatives to his constituents in May during the total lockdown declared by the Federal Government due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The period also coincided with the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, marking the end of the Muslim Ramadan fast.
The federal lawmaker, who was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives in 2019, has been representing his constituency since 2003.
