Pastor of Citadel Global Community Church formerly known as Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare, has revealed the cause of his strained relationship with David Oyedepo, Pastor of Living Faith Church.
In an online interview with Dele Osunmakinde monitored by Church Times, Bakare said he had been at a program in Abuja with Oyedepo and was displeased with the anointing of palms and declaring such hands will attract wealth.
He stated that he demanded an explanation after the program but was not satisfied with Oyedepo’s answer. He said Oyedepo had tried to link his action to the teaching of Enoch Adeboye, Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
After they parted ways, Bakare said he did a series on television tagged the “synagogue of Satan”. He tore Oyedepo’s book in the course of the message. An action which caused Oyedepo to challenge him for tearing his book.
“What I told him then was that I did not tear his book. He was the one who wrote it but I was the one who bought it with my money. So it’s no longer his book,” he said.
Bakare however said he has since reconciled with Oyedepo.
